Knowledge For Action by UJ is a project to provide educators all over South Africa with the tools they need to provide effective education. There are resources which provide insight into running a school, teaching a class and assisting children.
The Platform
The platform has a complex post and article structure which serves to direct users to the appropriate resources. The platform makes extensive use of the WordPress blogging platform. Additional customisation allows for site administrators to add downloadable content to posts.
The Design
The design draws heavily from the UJ design language as communicated in their latest CI guidelines. In addition, the Funda uJabule school has it’s own design language. This was a particular challenge because the website had to be compliant with UJ guidelines and still had to have its own character based on the school running the project.
The website is also fully responsive, which means it adapts to the size of your screen, whether on a smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop.
