ASP.NET C# Software Developer (Full Time)

We are looking to recruit an experienced web developer with a passion for web and mobile technologies, a person who has the drive to continuously do more and be better and help us create something amazing every day.

Qualifications and experience required:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• A diploma or higher relevant to the field (computer science, software development, programming) from a reputable organisation or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years formal experience working on production systems written in ASP.NET
• Selected candidates will be required to complete a test relevant to the work required.

A Successful candidate must have the following skills/knowledge:

• Advanced knowledge of ASP.NET C#
• Understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc
• Familiar with git version control
• Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles
• Good understanding of software architecture in the context of web applications
• Good understanding of relational databases and SQL.
• Good understanding of RESTful APIs

The following are also advantageous

• Knowledge and experience in working with RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of JSON API specification
• Familiarity with tools such as Trello, Slack, Postman
• Having read books such as The Clean Coder, Extreme Programming, etc

Responsibilities

• Development and maintenance of in-house and contract software applications.
• Administration of tasks assigned to you.
• Research, optimise and improve products and workflows.
• Lead small-medium sized projects

General Requirements

• A means to travel to and from the office as well as off-site activities (meetings, training)
• Your own computer and internet connection away from the office is advantageous.
• South African citizens take priority.

Salary:

Salary is market related and negotiable depending on skill, experience and qualifications.
